Burnt Ice Raw and Funky Contemporary Blues This year Burnt Ice celebrate 30 continuous years of playing their own brand of groove based funky blues. Formed in 1987 the hard core of Andy Broad (guitar / vocals) Simon Tufnail (bass) and Alan "Blackie" Blackmore have been there throughout, the current lineup being completed by Matt Beckwith (harmonica). Their music blends the sounds of Albert Collins, the three Kings (Albert, BB and Freddie) , Robert Cray, James Cotton and more with their own distinctive groove, senselessly mixing originals and unique interpretations of standard blues numbers. It music you will want to listen too, but you'll want to listen on your feet as you dance!

Walker Broad Band

Andy Broad - Vocals / Acoustic Guitar
Simon Tufnail - Bass
Alan Blackmore - Cajon

Folk Blues Jazz and Beyond.

Original Music with a folk jazz blues influence.

Sandy Walker (piano / vocals) and Andy Broad (acoustic guitar) started working together in spring 2010 and before the year was out had written more than an albums worth of original material. Mixing their wide ranging musical roots, from folk to blues to jazz, a sprinkle of latin, a dash of funk they have created a multi textured warm sound, both familiar and somehow also a little exotic. Influences include Bonnie Raitt, Pentangle, Bessie Smith, Kirsty MacColl, Joni Mitchell and more.

Sandy and Andy are joined by rhythm section Simon Tufnail (bass) and Alan Blackmore (cajon) whose long experience of playing together and a deep rhythmic vibrancy to the sound.
